Why People Bring Us Their Machines

Free Estimates

Bring the machine in and we look at it at no charge. You hear the cost before any billed work starts.

65+ Years in the Trade

Our family has repaired sewing machines for more than 65 years, and more than one generation works in the shop today.

Every Brand, Old and New

We work on all makes, from a treadle your grandmother used to a computerized machine with an error code on the screen.

On-Site Service

For industrial and commercial machines we travel up to 150 miles from Clearwater and work on the machine right where it sits.

Parts on the Shelf

We keep new, used and hard to find parts in the shop, so many repairs do not sit and wait on an order.

Honest Advice

If a machine is not worth the repair, we tell you plainly. Then you decide whether to fix it, trade it in, or look at something else.

How It Works

  1. Call and Tell Us the Problem

Call (727) 321-9344 and describe what the machine is doing. Skipping stitches, jamming, a strange noise. Plain words are enough.

  2. Bring It In or Book a Visit

Drop the machine off during business hours, no appointment needed. For industrial machines at a business, ask about an on-site visit.

  3. Get a Free Estimate

We inspect the machine and tell you what it needs and what it costs. The estimate is free, and no billed work happens before you agree.

  4. We Repair and Test Sew

Once you approve, we do the work and sew on the machine to check it before you pick it up.

Brands We Service

We repair every brand of sewing machine, home and industrial, including machines that are no longer made. We are an independent repair shop, so you do not need to own a certain brand to bring your machine to us.

Common questions

Is my machine worth repairing?

Often, yes. Machines built years ago were made with metal parts and they last. Many of the ones we see just need a good cleaning, fresh oil and an adjustment. We look at it first and tell you what it needs and what it costs. If the repair costs more than the machine is worth, we say so and you decide.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free. Bring the machine to the shop, we will look at it, and we will tell you the cost before any billed work is done.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Come by Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and drop the machine off. If you would rather call first, the number is (727) 321-9344.

What brands do you work on?

All of them. Home machines, industrial machines and embroidery machines of every make, including models that are no longer sold. We are an independent shop, so you do not need to have bought the machine from us.

Do you fix antique machines and treadles?

Yes. Hand crank machines, treadles and old cabinet machines are welcome here. These machines were built to be serviced, and most of them will sew again after cleaning, oil and the right adjustments.

Do you sharpen scissors?

Yes. We sharpen scissors, shears and rotary blades. You can bring them in with your machine or on their own during business hours.

Do you repair sergers and overlocks?

Yes. Sergers need cleaning, timing and knife work more often than people expect, because they cut and sew at the same time. Bring yours in and we will check it over.

Do you repair embroidery machines?

Yes, single head and multi-head. Thread breaks, needle bar problems, timing, tension, error codes and general service are all normal work for us.
