A quilting machine has to hold the same stitch whether you move slow through feathers or fast across a border. When it stops doing that, the cause is usually tension, hook timing, or a carriage that is fighting the rails. Most longarms live on a frame that cannot be taken apart and hauled in, so we come to you within about 150 miles of Clearwater.

Frame machines are serviced where they stand. Sit-down machines and small heads can come to the Clearwater shop for bench work.

We run a practice sandwich with your thread and batting, at slow speed and fast, so the stitch is proven in the way you actually quilt.
Common questions
Will you service a longarm at my house?
Yes. A longarm on a twelve or fourteen foot frame is not something you should take apart. We travel about 150 miles from Clearwater, including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Largo, Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakeland and Orlando.
Can you fix eyelashes on the back of my quilt?
Usually yes. Eyelashes come from tension out of balance, a hook that has a nick, a bent needle, or moving faster than the machine can lay the stitch. We check all of it and show you the difference on a test sandwich.
My stitch regulator does not seem to work anymore. Is it repairable?
Often. Regulators use encoders and sensors that get dirty or lose their signal. We test them before assuming a board has failed. Call (727) 321-9344 for a free estimate.
Do you service sit-down quilting machines and domestic machines used for quilting?
Yes. Sit-down quilting machines, and home machines that get pushed hard on big quilts, both get the same bench service: cleaning, oiling, timing, tension and a test sew.
Can you help level and square my frame?
Yes. A frame out of level or out of square drags the carriage and shows up in the stitch. It is part of what we check on a service visit.
